Once you reach the maximum population, you'll have maximum production in the shortest amount of time, thus you'll come out on top first. then finish housing, and terraform again. then you can turn to making barracks, a cloning center, and housing. You'll want to build an automated factor, robo miners, etc first. Maximize production and thus population before producing nonessentials. Make sure to espionage every race you can and ifyou can't, trade techs for techs, you'll still come out ahead. Pump those spies out wit hyour production and spy bonuses.

And on the plus side you've also got the most ships. you have 3x their population.ģ) production + spy - research : who needs research when all the technology of the universe is yours. You'll be amazed at how many people you can fit onto planets and how fast you planets grow. then do that for the next race.Ģ) Outbreed those mofos: subterranean + lithovores + growth rate. if you conquer the planets fast enough their ships will always be on the retreat.

Send that cruiser over to your neighbor, hopefully someone like the psilons who get a research bonus that you can then use as your researchers. Don't use bombs, don't research ground combat. You understand how this game goes, churn out a cruiser asap. At that point, I gave up.ġ) Conquest: Unification + Telepathy, take any number of hits (esp to ground combat) to get the required points. Then within a few years, the Daklors (2nd most powerful computer race, though they're far behind the Psilons. The situation seems grim, but I just wiped out the Silicoids and finally was able to relax a bit. My fleet was like 1/10 theirs, and I'm only about half way up the tech tree. They have numerous deathstars and titans. Every planet of theirs were terraformed into gaia worlds, half of which has the artemis defense net. I got involved in a drawn out war with the silicoids (guess 2 repulsive races find each other even more repulsive?) and only managed to conquer them after a very long time (which majorly slowed down my tech advance).īy that time, the Psilons have 1/3 of the galaxy (I have about 1/3 as well, the rest split between the other 2 races), and they have researched every tech in the game. Needless to say I fell far behind the Psilons in tech (actually I was behind every race, but the Psilons were far ahead every race.) And being repulsive, it was hard enough to keep the other races at bay (not to mention I can't trade tech).įortunately the Psilons largely left me alone, and I'm not stupid enough to piss them off yet. I was playing with uncreative and repulsive. I think I still have a save game somewhere where I'm stuck in an impossible situation.
